Sid: My guest is red hot for the Messiah his name is Bill Morford and I’m speaking to him about the most vibrant, freshest translation of the New Testament I think I have ever read. It’s called “The Power New Testament,” and the thing that makes this different than any other translation that I’ve ever seen is that most of the translations, Bill Morford, are done by scholars that don’t have hands on moving in gifts of the Spirit type of ministry and the power is literally squeezed out of the translation. Least that’s the sense that I have, what do you think?
Bill: Yes it makes much smoother reading if you don’t try to put the power in it.
Sid: The way you have the tenses you can see that things have already been done in the spirit world that are manifesting in the natural world that you can’t see in most translations. For instance earlier this week we were talking about the word that is commonly translated “sickness.” How do you translate it?
Bill: Evil. Yes the word in the Greek means evil.
Sid: And I have to tell you I hate evil, therefore, I hate sickness. Bill and I are declaring war on sickness right now. Would you read one of these… because Mishpochah when you begin to understand the Jewish roots of the New Testament it just, it’s almost like reading the New Testament for the first time in your life. Why don’t you read us the translation from Matthew the 20th chapter starting at verse 29 about the 2 blind people.
Bill: “Then when they went from Jericho a huge crowd followed Him, and behold when two blind people sitting by the way heard that Y’shua was passing by, they cried out saying, “You must immediately have mercy on us! Lord! Son of David!” Then the crowd rebuked them so that they would be quiet: but they cried out more saying, “You must now have mercy on us! Lord! Son of David!” And after Y’shua stopped He called them and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord that our eyes would open.” And Y’shua having compassion, touched their eyes, and they immediately regained their sight and they followed Him.” And of course following Him I footnote “eyes” in that because that word used for eyes, the Greek word is “omma.” It is used only here and in Mark 8:23, also means “eyes of the soul.” So they followed Him because they had been absolutely transformed it got in their spirits that Jesus was the Son of God from that. That’s interesting I always get a kick out of when Jesus calls him “What do you want Me to do for you?” As if there were any question with 2 blind men stumbling up to Him. But Jesus wants to transform each one of us even if were not physically blind He wants to touch NOW the eyes of my soul, the eyes of your soul, so that you will know that you have a relationship with the living God. He’s just so awesome.
Sid: Bill you were also talking before we did this broadcast that the Spirit of God is telling you of the need for us to be walking in Holiness.
Bill: Yes, yes He is. Jesus said in Matthew 4:17, “We must walk in repentance.” Let me read that verse quickly because that’s the key. “From then on Y’shua began to preach and to say, “You must continuously repent: for the Kingdom of the Heavens has come near.” Now “continuously repent” is what He said. It isn’t that we lose our salvation every day, but it said none of us has been perfected, and we need to be perfected. When Jesus spoke of the temple as His body, and Paul referred to the temple as our bodies they didn’t use the word for temple. That is not what they said. What they said was a sanctuary, we’re a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit. See the temple has an outer court where sin is welcome. It has an inner court where sin is dealt with, but to set foot in the sanctuary you have to already have dealt with sin. See here you’re dead. That’s what anyone is who hasn’t made a commitment to God. You’re facing eternal death, but we are to be sanctuaries, our bodies are not to have any place in them where sin is acceptable. So that’s why Jesus said “We must continuously repent.” We have to be aware, not shaking and quivering that God is going to zap us, but we have to be aware that we will not be perfected while we are walking on earth. After all, 8 or 9 billion people have walked on the earth so far, and out of those only 1 was perfect, and He’s the one that we have to rely on. He’s the one, He knows that we’ll never be perfected, but at the same time if we acknowledge and recognize that we aren’t perfect we need to better tomorrow than we were today.
Sid: But if there’s ever been a call for holiness because I believe God’s about ready to pour out His Spirit in a way beyond anything He’s ever done in all of history. Because I believe this is the wrap up and without holiness you will not see God. Don’t you want to see God, I want to see God? So why are you letting those little foxes ruin the vine? Bill I want you to read a little bit from “The Power New Testament” in Mark chapter 5 about the woman with the issue of blood from a Hebraic understanding. Would you read that?
Bill: Yes I will. Alright “A huge crowd was following Him and pressing up on Him. And a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years and suffered much under many physicians and spent everything beyond her means and was not helped but rather became worse: having heard about Y’shua, as she came from behind the crowd she touched the fringe of His prayer shawl: for she was saying “If I could just touch His prayer shawl I shall be saved.” And immediately the flow of her blood dried and she knew that her body was healed from the plague. And immediately Y’shua perceived in Himself that the power had left Him, Turning in the crowd He was saying “Who touched My prayer shawl?” And His disciples were saying to Him, “You see the crowd pressing around You and You say, ‘Who touched My prayer shawl?’” And He was looking around to see the one who did this. And the woman, who was afraid and trembling, since she knew what happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him all the truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you: you must continuously go in peace. You are cured from your affliction.”
Sid: What was the meaning of the fringe of the prayer shawl, why was this so important to her?
Bill: That’s the tsitsit that’s shown on the corner of the garment. The tsitsit represents every command and every promise of God. It’s made up of 8 threads tied in 5 knots which is interesting because the rabbi’s say there are 613 commandments in the Torah and they’re not numbered. From the word tsitsit those numbers add up to 600, and the 8 strands and 5 knots make 13, so it’s 613.God says when He tells in Numbers 15 and to tie these fringes on each of the 4 corners that the purpose of it is to look upon and remember all His commandments all His promises.
Sid: When she grabbed ahold of those promises I’m reminded of you were explaining on yesterday’s broadcast about God’s name “I AM that I AM.” As you put it, God has deliberately purposed to heal, to deliver, to save. Would you pray right now for healing for the people, right now?
Bill:Oh Father we come to You, we come to You in Jesus name. We thank you for being our healer; we thank You for those that reach out to You to touch the fringe of the prayer shawl Your word Father. To know that all You have written is real it is alive today, just as it was over 2000 years ago. Father we pray for each illness, we pray that every ache and pain will go away; we pray that appendicitis attack will stop right now; we pray that that eye hemorrhage will stop right now; we pray that ringing in the ears will stop right now. (Speaking in tongues) Father we thank you, we thank you for removing cancers from people; we thank you for taking that back pain; we thank you for the one driving a car right now who has a sudden pain a cramp that is devastating and God takes it right now! We praise you Lord, we praise you. Sid do you got something?
Sid: I can tell you that every word you were saying right now people are being healed. Spines are being so set free; I tell you God has purposed to heal all pain right now in Jesus name!
