AUDIENCE (LAUGHTER)
RODNEY: And the Bible says in John 3:34 because He spoke the words of God, God gave Him the Spirit without measure. In Him was the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Acts 10:38 says “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power.” So you see the Godhead in operation. “How God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with him.” Amen! Well if you know anything about the new birth, that’s what the whole new birth, that’s what Emmanuel, God with us. Glad tidings of great joy for unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Well when He comes and He’s born in us that’s where it becomes a living reality. When Christ is born in us through the new birth, when we get saved, when we get born again He comes, makes His home on the inside of us. In First Corinthians chapter six and Second Corinthians chapter six God says “Know you not that you are the Temple of God?” Was there an earthly Temple at one time? Yes. Did the Holy Spirit live in that earthly Temple at one time? Yes. Does He still live in an earthly Temple today? No! You’re not made by hands. When Jesus cried “It is finished” the veil of the Temple was torn in two from top to bottom and the Holy Spirit came out of that earthly Tabernacle never again to ever live again in an earthly Tabernacle but to come and live in my heart and your heart and so we become Temples of the Living God…
AUDIENCE (CLAPPING)
RODNEY: …as God has said I will dwell in them. I’ll walk in them. I’ll be their God and they’ll be My people. That’s pretty amazing! In John 4 Jesus talked about a well of water springing up to everlasting life. Let’s talk about salvation. With joy shall you draw forth water out of the wells of salvation. Say that after me. With joy…
AUDIENCE With joy.
RODNEY: Shall I draw forth.
AUDIENCE Shall I draw forth.
RODNEY: Water.
AUDIENCE Water.
RODNEY: Out of the well.
AUDIENCE Out of the well.
RODNEY: Of salvation.
AUDIENCE Of salvation.
RODNEY: So joy is the bucket. Amen? To bring the water up. Hallelujah! Glory to God. I feel that right now. I feel that right now. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
AUDIENCE Whooo! (LAUGHTER)
RODNEY: Hallelujah. Don’t try to look and get it in your head. It’s got nothing to do with your head. It’s got to do with your heart. This is a heart thing. It’s not a head thing. If you try to work it out you’ll be along with the others that are dumbfounded still trying to work it out after all these years. Trying to work out. I don’t understand it. Well you’re not going to understand it. You got to grab a hold of it. You got to let that well of water spring up. Remember that song “Spring up, O well, within my soul. Spring up, O well.” Amen? And of course then that takes us to John 7: “In the last day, the great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried saying if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scriptures said, ‘out of his belly’” Well where’s your belly? Put your hand on your belly. Where’s your head? Put your hand on your head. Big difference! He didn’t say out of your head will flow rivers of living water.
