Our Guest Dennis & Jennifer Clark
DENNIS: The man! But when the truth gets written on the tablet of the heart, afterwards, the change is quite radical. But everybody, you watching, you can do this at home. All you have to do is make sure that you do it from the heart and not just good intentions, and not even sincerely from the head, but from the heart. And strongholds, pornography, we saw a young man share saying, he says, “I have this, Pastor Dennis, I want you to help me because I have this unnatural drawing to the pornography,”
JENNIFER: He couldn’t stay away from it.
DENNIS: “And I cannot stay away and I want to stay away, but I cannot.” We prayed again, not through the shame, not just the guilt, although it’s good to cover those things, it was, more importantly, that craving to go to the computer. Once he severed that, and here’s an important thing we do when we severe soul ties that’s just a little bit different than all the other ministry, and that is at the end, I don’t know that you have to do it, but we make a re-consecration of your emotions back to God. I was bought with a price. You know what? DENNIS: It’s got legal ground. And in almost all deliverance sessions, where it’s done the standard way, I call it, when it’s done the standard way, we have the authority to push it out, but I’m more concerned about will they know what to do when they get hit with it again,
JENNIFER: Does it have ground to come back?
DENNIS: when that pull comes back. I mean like I said, I’ve prayed with people that were shocked at how strong the pull was. They would say things like, “But it’s been ten years since I saw my childhood sweetheart”. One lady, this is a case where they wouldn’t allow ministry. Her ex-boyfriend, who was a cocaine addict, she was married with several children. And he moved back from California, after ten years, and she wept and wouldn’t let any of the ladies in my church minister to her. But she wept, “You don’t understand how strong the pull is. You don’t understand, I need him,” and left her husband and kids for that person. And that’s not an isolated story. You know people that have done the same thing.
JENNIFER: And it could have been prayed through in a matter of minutes.
DENNIS: It could have taken minutes, but when someone says no,
