SID: Okay, there’s a word, transformation. Guillermo, what does that word mean to you?
MALDONADO: Transformation, Romans 12:1 and 3, the Bible talks about being transformed, being conformed into this age, into this world. And also the Bible talks about being transformed from glory to glory. Okay, the word transformation means to in transit into the maturity of Jesus Christ, to be like Jesus Christ. It’s the process to lead us, is a process to lead us into being like Christ. First, we need to understand transformation is continual, it’s instant, continues and progressive. In other words, the moment you stop being transformed, you stagnate, you get into spiritual dryness and you become religious. That’s why you see many people, religious people don’t believe in transformation because they’re already stagnated. And this is the greatest problem with stagnation, is because you only stagnate and stop right there. You’re going backwards. You’re going into the old habits. That’s what the Bible says, you must be transformed.
SID: You know, I heard a wise man say this. If you are sitting still you’re actually going backwards and you don’t know it.
MALDONADO: That’s what it is. That’s what it is. And I see—
SID: It’s deception.
MALDONADO: Deception. That’s what it is. That’s what religion is. When you conform, you stop being transformed, you conform to another reality, which is your flesh, which is my flesh. And but there’s something that people are watching right now. There’s people that are watching and they’re seeing, I need transformation. There’s three things that birth transformation. Number one, spiritual dissatisfaction, and frustration. Sometimes you feel frustrated. You don’t want to be in that place. You want to change. You go into another level. You went into another dimension. You want to go into another dimension. Number two, hunger. There’s people that are watching that you’re hungry for God. You want more, and but you don’t know. And number three, this is very powerful. If you have exhausted all the resources and you’re still in the same place, and you don’t change, there is a time for change.
SID: Okay. He’s been talking about you. I’m not just saying that. He’s been talking about me. You say that. Now tell them what they can do to be transformed supernaturally rather than stuck.
MALDONADO: And Sid, they need to know where they’re going to be transformed from, because transformation is in transit to be like Christ. In other words, me being changed, another word for transformation is “change”. In other words, me being transformed, me being changed from glory to glory. So but this is what I want to talk, is why we need to change as being believers. The question is, is transformation one time? It’s not. And sometimes when believers came to Christ, they were dramatically changed, but they stagnated. They did not continue being changed. So that’s why the heart of God hardened. And the heart of God hardened for unbelief. The causes of the [hardened] heart: unbelief, sin and disobeying the voice of God. When God is doing, when sin comes in our heart, continued sin is being practiced.
Sid: Now could someone have this hardened heart and not even realize it?
MALDONADO: Yes, yes, because it’s little by little. And the question is, what is a hardened heart?
SID: Right.
MALDONADO: Does a heart not feel? Does a heart not sense, not see, not perceive? You can be in the presence of God. You see a lot of people receiving but you. And you say, well the person is not receiving because they’re not sensing. They don’t receive, they don’t receive, they don’t feel God.
SID: And when Guillermo is talking about a hardened heart, he’s not talking about the physical heart. He’s talking about the resting place of the Spirit of God inside of you.
MALDONADO: Yes.
SID: It’s kind of a synonym for heart and spirit are the same. And has He been touching on things with you? Are things dry when you read the Bible?
MALDONADO: Yes, yes.
SID: That same fire, that same excitement?
MALDONADO: Yes.
SID: That’s what you’re telling me.
MALDONADO: Yes, that’s what I’m saying. There’s people that are hungry for God. There are some other people that stagnate, because where the revelation truth stops, that’s where you stop being transformed. And it’s important because of the hardening of the heart. And this causes the hardening of the heart. And, number four, solutions for the hardening of the heart. Well you can’t change the heart outside of the presence of God. You must be in the presence of God and this is the step that we need to take forward to change the heart. So do you feel the need of change? Do you feel stagnated? Have you exhausted all your resources and you’re still in the same place? That’s very hard. Pastors, leaders, believers that are struggling and they say, I’m tired of this, I want to change. And that’s the reason I teach how to change, step by step. But you can’t change it in the natural because transformation is supernatural. You can’t do transformation because, only because of nice positive thinking. You can’t produce power being positive. You need the power. You need the presence of God being changed. The hardened heart, and I can tell you of people that went away totally from God because the heart was hardened.
SID: And it’s deceptive because it’s like, it’s slow. It’s just very, very gradual. Remember, you’re either…in the Kingdom of Heaven there’s only one position, forward.
MALDONADO: Yes.
SID: If you’re sitting still, you are deceived and you’re going backwards. Give us a clue, a nugget on how we can change that hardened heart.
MALDONADO: Transformation of the heart, it takes place, Sid, first with, through a supernatural encounter with the Holy Spirit, with God, with His presence, with His power. What do you mean? When you go to the scripture you will see all the men in the Bible that impacted nations, kingdoms, and even in nature, they had a supernatural encounter with God. In other words, the opposite you don’t see in the Bible, a man that never had an encounter impacted anything. You just see those men that have a supernatural encounter because those supernatural encounters must be continual, must be often. Because in those supernatural encounters, their heart is being changed, being transformed. That’s the reason of the purpose of transformation is the changing of the heart, is through the supernatural. Number two, through fellowship, prayer and communion. In fellowship with God, He imparts himself to you. In fellowship, that exchange of life. And when we go to God, but the thing is today people don’t pray, don’t seek God, don’t have any fellowship. How are you going to be changed? And number three is through the revelation of truth. In other words, with truth…you cannot be changed without truth, and when that truth comes in our heart, our heart becomes softer. And I can tell you so many blessings.
SID: You know what I would like?
MALDONADO: Yes.
SID: When we come back, I want Guillermo to pray for you. I want him to pray that ice, that shell, it’s like an eggshell that is around you.
MALDONADO: Yes, yes.
SID: It’s going to be penetrated in Jesus’ name. Don’t go away.
