Sid: We want everyone everywhere to have such intimacy with God. I pray in Yeshua’s Name that your hunger as you listen to this show this week your hunger for God would increase to the point that the toys of this world that are idols in your life, that you’ll just put them down and you’ll just say I don’t want that stuff anymore I want more of God! My guest is Julie True and I’m speaking to her at her home in Franklin, Tennessee. I’m interviewing her on my favorite soaking CD, and I know I’ve said this before but you have to understand that we go from glory to glory, and this particular CD is called “Healing Love.” And it is really an interactive healing experience. As a matter of fact Julie on yesterday’s broadcast you were talking about, you were actually raised in an environment where you were taught to love God and you’ve loved God your whole life. But as far as music goes music was for secular music could not be used for worshipping God. I can’t think of a worse situation to get you in and you received an infilling of the presence of God and that began to change your whole life. Tell me how it changed your life.
Julie: Well, I just started realizing how big God was in that He wasn’t up there shaking His finger at me for one thing and saying “No, no, no you can’t do that.” And that He is a creator of music, He’s the, you know, the most creative One and He gave me the gift for music and as I came into this new place of life of being filled with the Holy Spirit it was just a natural thing to what to express my heart to God through music. And I was actually finishing college at the time, and took a class in this environment where you weren’t allowed to worship with instruments, but I had a class on worship and we had to do a term paper and they asked me if, I asked the professor “Could I write a song instead of writing a paper?” And he said, “Sure, as long as it’s a worship song.” And that opened the door for me that was the beginning and the catalyst for me beginning to express my heart to God through song.
Sid: Now one of the things that you enjoy doing is literally singing over people and interceding and prophesying over people. I mean that is such a far extreme from where you came from, how did you make that mega jump? I mean that’s not singing words that are written on a page, that’s singing right from spirit to spirit.
Julie: Right, it’s well the recipe for that is about twenty years of journey in the Lord, and layers, and layers, and layers of religion, and fear and you know the fear of man and ignorance and all of that stuff just coming off. And then also just hanging out with people that are hungry for God and hungry for life and hungry for the real deal and not wanting to be just you know fake sort of existence.
Sid: What you’re describing is the difference between religious people and people that are serious about intimacy with God.
Julie: Yes, yes, and you know we’ve just been, my husband and I have been just blessed to be in the midst of a lot of people who have stretched us and challenged us. And we’ve had an open heart to let God teach us and show us how big He is and how big His heart is and how good He is. And you know that’s one thing you know the more that you realize how good He is the more you have to sing about, and you don’t feel like your being held to all these rules and regulations you’re just free to sing about your love and His love and to receive His love. And so anyway it’s been a journey.
Sid: Isn’t great to get rid of all of that religious baggage?
Julie: Yes, totally!
Sid: You know one of the thoughts that’s coming to me as I’m speaking to you is that I’ve had a conversation with the Lord about this lately is and I’ve repented over it. I have not been a thankful person lately. I’ve been moaning and groaning and grumbling and God has been sparing my life in traffic accidents, and doing so many wonderful things in my life, and I really repented. And I believe that anyone that has intimacy with God should be a 24-7 thankful person. But Julie I want to hear a selection from your music CD “Healing Love.” And this really is an interactive healing experience; how about “I Want to Know You.” Isn’t that with the prayer of the heart of everyone that is listening to me right now? “I Want to Know You.” Is there anything that you want to add to this before we hear a selection?
Julie: Yes, that’s just the cry of my heart all the time, you know I want to know Him more; I want to be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit. And I want to, I want to really know God’s heart and not have some idea of who He is but I really want to know Him intimately as a friend and so that’s kind of at the heart of it.
Sid: Okay, let’s hear from that CD and remember this is interactive, that means that just as those angels went up and down Jacob’s ladder I believe those angels are coming up and down to visit you while your heart is soaring to know God better.
Julie True Healing Love CD “I Want to Know You.” Excerpt
Sid: That was a selection “I Want to Know You” and Julie True is singing and I believe there is such a presence of God that is… I want to see that presence of God in your home. I want to see that presence of God in your office, I want to see that presence of God in your car, I want to see that presence of God wherever you’re going. I want you to be playing this 20—literally you should be playing this 24-7. Julie there are so many amazing reports but I have to say the most amazing report is someone before they could even play this CD tell me that story.
Julie: Well a lady in Canada who is, she’s 70 years old. She was crying out to God and saying “God I have had some certain wounds and pain all of my life, how many years I have been a believer for thirty years. How many years is it going to take before I’m healed.” And on our web site she saw “Healing Love” being offered and she felt like the Lord just directed her to buy it so. It turns out that she grew up sort of as an orphan. Her mother didn’t want her and even later in life she, knew her mother, and her mother told her that I should have just drowned you when you were a baby because I never wanted you.
Sid: Talk about rejection!
Julie: Yeah, major, major rejection and that’s just a part of it. All through her life she had all kinds of rejection. The person who did raise her as a young child she wasn’t allowed to talk and she said she was raised in silence and her mother would beat her up and she just…that’s the kind of background that she had, but she came to know God along the way and she saw this CD and she ordered it. When it came to her house she brought it from the mail box brought it into her kitchen and started unwrapping the cellophane wrapping and she fell down on the floor under the power of God and started weeping. And she said, “It wasn’t, it was like this very gentle refreshing weeping.” But she wept for two hours the first that she played it. So what she did was play it every day for a month and she said every time she played it there was just more levels of healing that happened and that rejection was a huge part of what God healed her from. And she just had an incredible amount of freedom.
