Our Guest Dawna De Silva
LAURA: But I just try to do the opposite of whatever I see because it’s not very productive to just call out a spirit that you see on somebody.
DAWNA: Yeah.
LAURA: And it’s not fruitful for the relationship or the rest of the conversation even. And so a lot of times that is the key to us being able to change an atmosphere. All right. So then I want – as we have been through the program today we’ve kinds picked up on some people who have tuned in. They thought oh wow, this is the lady who understands how to help me break through where I am and get to the new place that I want to be. See that could be career. That could be somebody in a relationship that they’re stuck in. Or maybe just personal thoughts about themselves. What would you say to that person who says that message is for somebody else? God has forgotten me. He doesn’t even know who I am. How can He help me out of a place where He doesn’t even know where I am any more. That’s got to be something you encounter with people.
DAWNA: Yeah. I would say that comes to the place of hopelessness. And one of the main things the enemy does is he tries to say God’s not even watching. God doesn’t see you. But He’s the God who sees. He’s the God who hears. He’s the God who’s there. And so it all boils down to a lie you’re believing. Maybe an experience in your life is telling you well God let that happen but actually we fight not against flesh and blood and we shouldn’t assign to God a fault that the enemy has done. And so people who have harmed us have actually acted upon something demonically inspired and we get mad because God didn’t protect me! But actually the issue is we are actually fighting a battle and that sometimes affects our physical, you know if you’re being harmed by someone. But it comes from the spirit realm and so you need to actually fight from that area.
LAURA: Uh-huh.
DAWNA: And we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies and the enemy’s main desire is to pull us out of that seat. And so if he can get you to say that God’s not there, He doesn’t see, you’re not going to war from the place wisely where you actually can see him and go hah, hah! Not on my watch!
LAURA: Right. Right. Would you pray? I feel specifically – I keep seeing a woman and she’s trapped in a marriage. I say trapped not as in God doesn’t want to fix it but as in she feels hopeless. She feels like she’s insignificant. She feels like she has no worth, no value. Can you just – if you’re feeling you know connected to that discernment that I have, would you just maybe speak to that person, that demographic of people. I know this show goes into places where those women and that is a reality for them. Can you maybe just speak to that person? Pray for them in fact.
