ART: I’m back here with Jamie Galloway [music ends] and this is going to be a really exciting thing for you because you need to experience what he’s experiencing. I know this is like you know it’s become normal. Right? But what about when you’re first starting out? You hear people talking about you know I’m having a vision. I had a dream. Like I mean I think we can recognize what a dream is.
JAMIE: Right.
ART: We could maybe talk about how do you know when it’s from God and when it’s just bad pizza but what is – you know when someone says I had a vision what are they usually talking about and how do you recognize that when it’s happening?
JAMIE: Yeah. It’s such a great question. So many people overcomplicate visions. And just like actually the pizza dream you’d be surprised how many people have a dream that they say is a pizza dream. And when we say pizza dream are you know it’s a dream that people are saying is a joke. I ate too much bad pizza.
ART: Yeah!
JAMIE: And now it’s haunting me in my sleep.
ART: Uh-huh.
JAMIE: I’m dreaming about it. Right?
ART: Yup!
JAMIE: And so I was so surprised one time a guy told me about a pizza dream that he had. And Jesus was in the dream with him giving him pizza. And I said that’s a pizza dream!
ART: [laughs]
JAMIE: You know? And so it’s an interesting thing how we overcomplicate things. I think visions are very simple. Just like you go to sleep just to have a vision pay attention because sometimes we’re having visions and we don’t even know it. It’s simple mind wanderings. Daydreams. Right? And Daniel said the visions of my head while I was in my bed – the thoughts of my head and he actually charted out these thoughts, these visions of his head as scripture! It had the weight of scripture. So sometimes you have an imagination that runs wild in the presence of God and that’s God speaking! You know I go into a room and I’m looking around the room and I’m thinking man, it’d be amazing if that person – I just started to see it in a vision – it’d be amazing in my imagination if that person got out up out of the wheelchair! That person got touched!
ART: Yeah!
JAMIE: That’s not just my – you know passion. That’s a vision from the Holy Spirit.
ART: Yeah. I got a friend in ministry who says you know if Jesus said that looking at a woman lustfully is the same as committing adultery then why can’t I imagine a person getting out of a wheelchair and have that be a righteous thing you know – like that a good thing. We should be thinking – dreaming like that with God!
JAMIE: Yeah. On the other side of it external visions I find they happen when I’m at rest.
ART: Mmm. What do you mean by an external vision?
JAMIE: I’m sitting down. I’m laying down and I don’t expect it. It doesn’t mean I’m not expecting anything to happen. I’m expecting God to speak. But I’m laying down in a – maybe in a posture of prayer. My posture of prayer is I like to lay on my back with my hands up because I found that my hands up, keep me awake.
ART: Yeah.
JAMIE: I don’t raise my hands but I lay on my back with my elbows touching the bed and I just – I go speak Lord. Your son is listening. Speak Father. Your servant is listening. And in that moment I just wait until He says something. Now it could be an inward message.
ART: Uh-huh.
JAMIE: You know like a still small voice, a whisper. And sometimes when I open my eyes I’ll have an external vision and it’ll be super faint and if I just – if I calm down and I dial into peace. Jesus is the Prince of peace.
ART: Uh-huh.
JAMIE: Right. There’s something about peace.
ART: Yeah.
JAMIE: If I stay in that place of peace that vision will actually go from just being you know something faint to actually full-on 3-D!
ART: Yeah. Are you talking physical eyes you’re seeing this?
JAMIE: Physical eyes.
ART: Yeah.
JAMIE: And I believe that’s an impartation. And I feel so many people watching this right now could receive that impartation.
ART: Let’s just pray for them right now, man.
JAMIE: Yeah.
ART: Go for it!
