Every miracle points back, literally, to the first miracle and in theology we call it the first occurrence or first appearance of a principle or truth. As an example, if you want to study the Sabbath, go to the first appearance of the Sabbath. And then you can learn from there, God created the Sabbath day, amen, in creation. So if you want to understand, go back to the first appearance, the first occurrence of something. Well, the very first miracle the Bible says is Jesus turning the water to wine. Well, what we’re going to see; and this is why learning faith and putting faith in the operation of God for the miraculous becomes so important. Because all miracles happen basically the same way the first miracle happened, and it’s the molecular change. In the quantum level, in the unseen level, everything is vibrating energy. And literally, the Bible says we have the ability to call those things into existence that be not, Romans 4:17. God teaching through Abraham to call those things that be not as though they are. We see in Hebrews 11:1, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. When we have a basic understanding of the operation of the miraculous, how miracles happen, literally, how God works within the laws of creation; it makes the operation of doing the miraculous through gifts of the Spirit, so much easier. Again, like my son when I pulverized his toy, he looked up at me and he said, “That’s OK dad. You can fix it.” It’s that simple childlike faith: “Dad, you can fix anything.” And I know that I know, that as a Spirit filled believer, as you learn these gifts of the Spirit, you’re going to recognize your God, your Dad, your Father Almighty can fix anything. I can just see the body of Christ rising up to such an unprecedented level, that everywhere you go you are known because you know your God. And every miracle, every sign, every wonder that happened through Jesus is happening through you. Now, I want you to kind of imagine this with me. Let’s go back to the days of Jesus and let’s say that you’re going to be a scribe. And you’re going to do what Luke did in writing the book of Acts or Matthew did in writing the book of Matthew or John the book of John. And you’re going to start to put together a book every day of all the signs, all the wonders and all the miracles that Jesus did. Now, I mapped this out yesterday on the airplane. So, I don’t have this on a slide. But literally, while I was flying here yesterday, I was just kind of imagining this because we have such a small perspective. One of the things that we have to do is begin to think with the bigness of God. One of the things that happens for so many people, as I travel the world I see this, we’re limited by our environment.
